The UTEP women's basketball team couldn't find its fourth-quarter magic Saturday and suffered its first loss of the year to Sacramento State, 63-50.
Coach Kevin Baker said he felt his team played one of its best games of the year in the finale of the Holiday Beach Classic in San Luis Obispo, but the Hornets wrapped a 14-2 run around the end of the third quarter and start of the fourth to give itself breathing room it held the rest of the game.
UTEP trailed 24-12 early but took a 37-35 lead before the Sacramento State run.
