UTEP women hold off Louisiana Tech for first road win

Avery Crouse found her scoring groove, Isis Lopes kept hers and the UTEP women's basketball team's stretch-run knack traveled to Louisiana Tech.

The Miners picked up their first road victory of the year, finding enough answers in the fourth quarter to hold off the Techsters, 61-58.

Louisiana Tech had a chance to erase a five-point lead in the final two seconds after UTEP botched an inbounds pass, but the Miners defended a potential tying 3-pointer as both teams went to 4-3 in Conference USA.

Crouse had her biggest scoring game of the season, scoring 17 points to go with six rebounds and was 7-of-7 from the free-throw line.
