UTEP Volleyball defeated rival New Mexico State University Aggies (NMSU) at the Memorial Gym Sunday, Sept. 5, in a five-set match to continue their undefeated streak; the Miners are now 6-0.
This is the first time the Miners have defeated NMSU in Volleyball since 2012; NMSU have been 21-2 against the Miners since 2004. The Miners lost the first set against the Aggies 25-20, later came back to win the second set 32-30. The Miners then lost the third set but were able to send to a five-set game as they won the fourth set 25-22; they were down in the final set but were able to come back from behind for the win.
