In the wake of an opponent making a game-week postponement of a football game in the Sun Bowl for the second time in three weeks, UTEP coach Dana Dimel wants Conference USA to set some parameters.
North Texas pulled out of Saturday's game Tuesday night, citing soaring COVID cases in El Paso and offered to host UTEP, an offer Dimel said was declined out of hand.
A statement from UTEP president Heather Wilson Tuesday night indicated the school thinks the Sun Bowl situation is safe and Dimel echoed that on Wednesday after a walkthrough workout.
