UTEP isn't sending a big contingent to the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend in College Station, but their double-barreled shotgun could pack a punch.
Sophomore Michael Saruni enters his second indoor nationals as about a big a favorite as an 800-meter runner can be, while junior veteran Jonah Koech goes into his third indoor nationals in the mile seeded third. If form holds and UTEP scores 16 points, they could be on the edge of a top 10 team finish.
