While Asa Guevara's journey for the UTEP track and field team so far has been brief, it's covered a lot of ground and it's definitely headed in the right direction.
In five outdoor meets as a Miner sprinter, the sophomore transfer has run five events at three different distances, casting about for a home that won't be settled this season.
What also hasn't been settled is just how good Guevara can be at next weekend's Conference USA championships in Murfreesboro, Tenn., but the potential for something special in the 100 meters, 200 and the relays is coming to the surface.
