Gavin Hardison breaks in at quarterback Bret Bloomquist, Wochit
After all that transpired Saturday at UAB with the encouraging debut of quarterback Gavin Hardison, UTEP hits rivalry week against New Mexico State still deciding about what the present looks like at the position.
Hardison is the future and that looked bright after the redshirting sophomore got his first playing time as a Miner, but on Tuesday he and Kai Locksley were splitting reps, both preparing to play against the Aggies.
While coach Dana Dimel isn’t committing to Hardison this weekend, he was quick to shower praise on the transfer after his 16-of-37 passing performance that wasn’t perfect but showed the talent that has had the Miners buzzing all fall.
