Exactly what target it is preparing for is still up in the air, but the UTEP soccer team kicked off Kathryn Balogun's second season this week, not just with the excitement that comes with the start of a new season but with the excitement and appreciation that comes with escaping a lockdown.
"For sure, 100 percent," Balogun said after Thursday's practice. "Obviously we didn't lose a season like the spring sports, but we lost an opportunity to train and continue to get better, so it's been a long time since we've been out there.
"I think even the girls are really excited.
