UTEP rallied behind multiple quarterbacks to beat Old Dominion, improve to 4-1

After playing with prosperity failed Saturday against Old Dominion, the UTEP football team pioneered a new script on winning through adversity.

After blowing a 17-point lead, the Miners rallied for a 28-21 victory, making the key plays with a hodgepodge of quarterbacks who somehow, some way, got them to 4-1.

Trailing 21-20 midway through the fourth quarter, Hardison left for the locker room after getting sacked, then sprinted out and to the sideline as Calvin Brownholtz took the reins. Brownholtz played all but two snaps on the eight play drive, mostly as a Wildcat quarterback.

One of those two snaps was Hardison coming back in to throw a third-down conversion pass (he promptly left), the other was the touchdown when Deion Hankins was the Wildcat and kept it for a 4-yard score.
