UTEP QB Ryan Metz, respected, respectful face of program, retires after concussion

In a world of justice and fairness, Mister Miner Ryan Metz would end his UTEP career riding off on the shoulders of his teammates, basking in rewards he worked so diligently to earn.

In reality, the end of a career is always a play away. For the fifth-year quarterback from Andress High, that play came three weeks ago in Ruston, La., against Louisiana Tech on an innocent looking quarterback run.
