At the end of the day, it is just a golf tournament.
Of course, it is probably the most important golf tournament UTEP's golfers have played during their young lives. The Miners will compete in the NCAA West Regional Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at Aldarra Golf Club in Sammamish, Wash. The Miners will be seeded eighth in the 14-team field and the top five teams will advance to the NCAA Championship May 26-31 in Sugar Grove, Ill.
"I think we are prepared for a tough field like this," said UTEP coach Scott Lieberwirth.
