UTEP gets ready to host UTSA Bret Bloomquist, Wochit

Right up until Saturday's game with UTSA seemed lost, UTEP's quarterback rotation was just a rumor.

So was their offense.

The Miners decided to sink or swim with Kai Locksley, and only when the offensive ship hit the bottom of the ocean did they switch to Brandon Jones.

For a moment it appeared he might engineer a rescue for the ages, but in the end it was too late in a disheartening 26-16 loss that dropped UTEP to 1-4 and improved UTSA to 2-3.
