RUIDOSO, N.M. — When Dana Dimel took the helm at UTEP a year and a half ago, there was one area where he had no room for error — recruiting cornerbacks.
He inherited a pair of seniors-to-be, Nik Needham and Kalon Beverly, both of whom went on to earn shots at the NFL.
Dimel also inherited a huge question mark for this season, and from the moment he arrived, he's been working on that.
"Every time I was making roster moves it was to try to find more depth in our secondary, corners and safeties," he said.
