UTEP just played its best game of the 15-game Dana Dimel era in a 37-21 loss to Nevada, its best in the 27-game post-Aaron Jones era, and if that sounds like a moral victory, well, this is a program that has to take them.

The Miners ran the ball quite well against one of the very best teams left on their schedule, they got decent play (though he won't admit it, because that's who he is) from should-be-the-guy quarterback Brandon Jones and they were as good as a good Nevada team for 40 minutes.
