The UTEP football team picked up some bulletin board material, as a panel of media members who cover C-USA schools picked the Miners last in the Conference USA West division.
North Texas is the clear favorite, picking up 20 first place votes out of 24 cast, while Southern Miss, Louisiana Tech and UAB are slotted two through four. UTSA is picked fifth in the West, while the one team UTEP beat last year, Rice, is picked sixth.
In the East, Marshall is picked to win, while Florida International and Florida Atlantic are slotted two and three. Middle Tennessee is picked fourth, Western Kentucky fifth, Old Dominion sixth and Charlotte seventh.
