UTEP Miners football team makes progress on to-do list, particularly at WR and quarterback

A football team is supposed to feel better about itself after 10 days of practice. That's the natural order.

A UTEP squad with the normal pre-camp to-do list figured that much, but the answers at two of the biggest areas of concern, quarterback and receiver for an offense looking to escape the bottom 10 in the country, have done much to change the feeling around the Miners.

They feel they've found a quarterback they can win with in Brandon Jones, and for the first time since the beginning of the decade, they feel like they have material to work with at receiver.
