The plan after such a long run of continuity was to turn to the junior college ranks, and in the process, the Miners proved there is more than one way to achieve excellence.
At the dawn of the 2020 season, cornerback appears to be the Miners’ biggest area of stability, as second-year transfers Josh Caldwell and Duron Lowe are returning starters, while a new junior college recruit, Dennis Barnes, already has nailed down the third spot.
