The UTEP men tip off their season at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Don Haskins Center against UT-Permian Basin.
No fans will be allowed in the game, which will be aired on 600 ESPN El Paso and streamed on CUSA.tv
The challenge
The biggest challenge came in getting to this game.
While the UTEP men dealt with a COVID outbreak back in March, on the trip back from the Conference USA tournament in Frisco, it has been clean since and will have a full, new-look roster.
UTEP is integrating eight new players, including the quarterback of the offense, point guard Jamaal Bieniemy, who gained immediate eligibility after transferring from Oklahoma.
