Finally, the UTEP men's basketball team has a road win for the 2022-23 season.
The Miners overcame a double-digit first half deficit and held on to defeat Charlotte, 60-58, on Monday afternoon in Charlotte, North Carolina, in Conference USA action.
UTEP improves to 10-8 overall and 3-4 in league play, Charlotte falls to 12-6 overall and 3-4 in league play and suffered its first loss in nine tries at home.
UTEP, now 1-6 away from El Paso, had lost by a combined nine points in three previous losses on the road in Conference USA, including a double-overtime loss at Louisiana Tech and a buzzer beater against Rice this past Saturday.
