UTEP men's basketball team ends five-game losing skid

Five UTEP players scored in double figures to lead UTEP to a 77-66 win Saturday against UTSA at the Convocation Center in San Antonio.

The win ended a five-game losing streak for UTEP and pushed its overall record to 12-13 overall and 5-9 in Conference USA. UTSA slips to 7-19 overall and 1-14 in league play. The Miners earn a season sweep of the Roadrunners and lead the all-time series, 16-10.

The Miners never trailed in the game and outscored UTSA, 41-34, in the second half. Tae Hardy and Jon Dos Anjos led the Miners with 12 points each, Malik Zachery added 11 and Ze'Rik Onyema and Otis Frazier scored 10 points each.
