The UTEP men's basketball team has its Conference USA schedule, which was released by the league Monday, and the Miners receive a bye on the final playing date of the season.
The Miners haven't released the non-conference portion of their schedule, which will run into early 2024, but know they will open the 16-game league slate on Jan. 6 at New Mexico State in the first conference game between the two rivals since 1962 when both were in the Border Conference.
The Conference will continue to play most league games Thursday and Saturday and is going with a travel partner system with Florida International as the odd team out.
