In the middle game of their toughest road trip of the year, in the one game they were favored to win big, the Miners led Southern Miss for the game's final 30 minutes of an 84-70 victory that moved their record to 9-5 in Conference USA.
Southern Miss fell to 1-12, and the game went like the records said it should.
