The UTEP men’s basketball team (12-10, C-USA 3-4) finally returned to the Sun City after two straight back-to-back road losses versus Conference USA rivals LA Tech (16-6, C-USA 6-1) and Sam Houston (13-9, C-USA 6-1).
Thursday’s matchup featured the Miners, who have only lost two home games this season, and the Jacksonville State Gamecocks (11-11, C-USA 3-4).
The game started with the Miners going on a 10-0 run capped off by a three-pointer from junior forward Otis Frazier III.
