UTEP men’s basketball adds first transfer during offseason

North Alabama sophomore guard Christian Agnew has committed to UTEP according to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein. Agnew is 6-2, 190-pound native of Detroit that will have two seasons of athletic eligibility remaining.

In two seasons for the North Alabama Lions, Agnew has averaged 12 points a game, while shooting 40% from the floor and 31% from 3-point line. He is a two-year starter for the Lion program that went 13-17 this season. Much like UTEP, the Lions were bounced from its conference tournament in the first round.

Making the Atlantic Sun Conference All-Freshman team during the 2018-2019 season, Agnew was the second leading scorer on the team.
