Shortly after player-coach one-on-one meetings concluded Tuesday evening, the UTEP men's basketball team lost three backup players to the transfer portal, running the total to six players and a coach who have begun the process of leaving.
Sixth-man Christian Agnew, Las Cruces' Jorell Saterfield and reserve point guard Emmanuel White entered the transfer portal, and assistant coach Butch Pierre has reportedly been hired by Wichita State.
That group joins Jamal Bieniemy (going pro), graduate Tydus Verhoeven (in the transfer portal but reportedly looking to go pro) and third-team center Bonke Maring (transfer portal) on the way out the door.
