Looking to restock its staff, the UTEP softball team reached back to its past for the first time in that capacity, hiring perhaps its all-time greatest player Camilla Carrera and former pitching ace Kaitlin Fifield to fill its full-time staff openings.
Fifield and Carrera are the first two alumni to return to the Miners in a full-time coaching capacity and the Chapin alum Fifield is the first native El Pasoan on the full-time staff.
