Well, there was some progress for the UTEP football team.
The Miners put together a good half in a 28-21 loss to Charlotte, and unlike most of the good halves in this eight-game losing streak, it was the first one, before the opponent lost interest.
They took a game into the fourth quarter — into the final 1:10 — they gave themselves a chance, and that's something that hasn't happened since Nevada in Week 3.
