UTEP football takes on rival NMSU in 96th Battle of I-10

UTEP and New Mexico State have so much history together in football, finding new ground is difficult.

They've met 95 times before. In a fair share of those meetings, both have come in as struggling programs looking for a boost, so trying to paint the 96th game as something special isn't easy.

But by any standards, the game Saturday in the Sun Bowl is rather remarkable.

There are 62 games involving an FBS team this weekend. This is the only one where both teams are winless.

UTEP comes in with the longest losing streak in the nation at 15 games, the longest losing streak in their history, yet they are only 3-point underdogs.
