UTEP is starting over at receiver again, which on the whole, may not be a bad thing.
The position was de-emphasized under the previous staff, so a Miners team that always used to have receivers in bushels has been perpetually rebuilding pretty much since Jordan Leslie left at the end of the 2013 season. The position is no longer de-emphasized, but still in a growth mode.
They found some production last year with Warren Redix, but now he’s gone, and has lately been the case in spring, there are a lot of names and a lot of question marks as UTEP looks for a breakthrough among its pass catchers.
