UTEP defense faces big test against North Texas

The task for the UTEP defense this week is easy to spot and hard to slow down.

North Texas brings statistically the nation's second best offense to the Sun Bowl, one that churns out 593.6 yards a game. Receiver Jaelon Darden accounts for 137.8 of those yards, making him the nation's second leading receiver in yards per game.

In a 52-35 victory over Middle Tennessee in their last outing, the Mean Green put up 768 yards.

All of this excites a vastly improved UTEP defense, which hopes to show off that improvement against the highest of bars.
