UTEP coaches find ways to keep busy during coronavirus hiatus

Tobi Amusan keeps preparing for the Olympics Wochit

Every UTEP athletic team has been hit by the coronavirus, which has shut down the entire department's on-field activities, and every team has been impacted differently.

The men's basketball team completed its season hours before the shutdown started phasing in. The track team was a week away from its outdoor season-opener. The softball team was at mid-season, a few days away from their second conference series.

The football team lost the last 60 percent of its spring workouts.

By the calendar, all 16 teams are shut down right now.
