On the heels of a history-making volleyball season, UTEP is adding women's beach volleyball as its 17th sport and will begin play in the spring of 2023.
Ben Wallis, who led the volleyball program to its best-ever season this past fall when the Miners reached the semifinals of NIVC its first-ever postseason appearance, will also coach the beach program.
"We’re looking forward to it,” Wallis said. “It’s going to be a lot of work. But we’ve done it before. We’ve grown UTEP into a viable indoor program. We’re looking forward to growing UTEP beach volleyball into a program that can compete for a conference championship in the near future.
