Maybe this is rock bottom for the UTEP men's basketball team.
Playing a UAB team that came into the Don Haskins Center with an identical record Saturday night, the Miners were out-toughed, beaten physically and dominated in the paint in a 69-55 loss that dropped UTEP to 4-6 in Conference USA.
UTEP led 30-29 early in the second half before a 14-point UAB run that turned into a larger 25-8 run, spurred on by a pair of technical fouls on a Miner team that lost its poise.
