As UTEP started stacking up wins early in the season, it became a bit of a running joke at Dana Dimel's weekly news conference that every Monday he would be asked if this was the biggest game of his UTEP tenure.
With No. 18, unbeaten, Conference USA leader UTSA coming Saturday to Sun Bowl Stadium for an 8:15 p.m. kickoff, he didn't have to wait to be asked and he wasn't joking when he offered his opinion.
'This is bigger (than a bowl game)'
"There hasn't been a bigger game in a long time," Dimel said matter-of-factly.
