Since the Hyundai Sun Bowl hooked up with the ACC at the beginning of the decade, trying to predict the matchup before the official unveiling has been fun but cloudy.
With less than 24 hours to go until Sunday afternoon selection announcement, Sun Bowl executive director Bernie Olivas said four or maybe five teams are still possibilities in the ACC while the Pac-12 has winnowed down to Cal or Utah, or just maybe Arizona State.
Cal vs. Miami? Boston College vs. Arizonan State? Duke vs. Utah? Could Pitt or Georgia Tech crash in?
Olivas said he still doesn't know, though the Friday night Pac-12 title game victory by Washington over Utah and Stanford's victory in the Big Game against Cal did add some clarity.
