Report: Former Angelo State offensive coordinator is UTEP’s new wide receivers coach

According to FootballScoop.com, Angelo State assistant head coach / offensive coordinator Theron Aych will be the new wide receivers coach at UTEP.

Aych was the offensive coordinator at Angelo State the past four seasons that featured the growth and development of quarterback Kyle Washington who led all D-2 quarterbacks in passing yards with 4.522 yards in 2015.

He has also mentored current NFL player Delanie Walker during his four year stint at Central Missouri, and has been the running backs coach at Houston and also had a stint at Washington on the defensive side.

The most important aspect in this hire is his recruiting ties to the Greater Houston area, and South Central Texas which was his recruiting areas while he was the running backs coach at Houston.
