UTEP begins spring quarterback battle Wochit
Spring college football falls into two categories: Springs with an established quarterback and springs without them.
UTEP, which began the first of 15 spring practices Tuesday, falls into the later category in the most profound sense.
Incumbents Kai Locksley and Brandon Jones are gone, the four quarterbacks vying to replace them — sophomore Gavin Hardison, freshman TJ Goodwin, junior Isaiah Bravo and Calvin Brownholtz — have zero starts between them and two games total of experience.
