Travel in the age of COVID hasn't changed much for college football teams, but there will be some tweaks for Abilene Christian as it makes the seven-hour bus trip to El Paso to play UTEP in the Sun Bowl on Saturday night.
What the team will like is that it's using an extra bus to give the team more spacing. Also, because UTEP is a Conference USA team, ACU is using C-USA testing protocols which calls for three tests this week instead of the one the Wildcats normally do.
"We’ll know before the bus leaves (Friday) if anybody has COVID," coach Adam Dorrel said.
