North Texas Rolls UTEP 45-10

North Texas quarterback Mason Fine threw four scores, Jeffery Wilson rushed for 144 yards with a touchdown and North Texas (7-3, 6-1 Conference USA) took care of UTEP (0-10, 0-6 C-USA), 45-10, on a chilly Saturday night at Apogee Stadium.

With the win, North Texas clinches the C-USA West title, and will play for a C-USA Championship, just a few seasons removed from a 1-11 season.

The Miners’ offense struggled again, gaining 231 yards and 15 first downs to the Mean Green’s 472 yards of total offense and 27 first downs.

“I thought we, particularly on defense, played really well in the first half,” interim UTEP head coach Mike Price said.
