UTEP club hockey set for conference tournament Wochit
The formula for UTEP's club hockey team, the most dominant program at the school, is well-established.
The Miners plug in some former players from the El Paso Rhinos, one of the nation's best junior hockey teams, who have aged out of the junior level, some El Pasoans from Coronado and Franklin who played in the El Paso Hockey Association age programs, mix in a few other UTEP students who thought hockey looked fun and mow over everyone in their path.
UTEP heads into the Texas Collegiate Hockey Conference championship tournament this weekend in the Fort Worth suburb of Mansfield looking to defend their tournament title after a 24-4 regular season.
