A key reason for the early season success on offense for New Mexico State this year has been the play of senior quarterback Tyler Rogers.

Rogers has been a steadying force for the much-improved Aggies, who are 1-2 into the I-10 rivalry game at home Saturday against UTEP. New Mexico State has lost 37-31 to Arizona State and 27-24 to Troy, while beating New Mexico 30-28.

"It's been a joy to coach Tyler this season," NMSU head coach Doug Martin said. "He's worked hard, he's practiced well, he's a leader for us. His teammates look to him on this team for leadership.
