Kai Locksley making strides in UTEP Miners offense

The process has been long and winding, but increasingly it’s been more obvious.

Kai Locksley has been improving at quarterback for the UTEP football team.

That showed up in the important way, on the scoreboard, in the first half against Charlotte, and it showed up in his stat line: 15-for-20 passing for 215 yards.

There was an interception when he was trying to throw the ball away on UTEP’s last offensive play of the game, an issue of not having enough arm strength as he was getting dragged down, but the decision-making all game was the best its been in Locksley’s two years at UTEP.
