Jareica Hughes and Lulu McKinney have been on journeys since moving on from the UTEP basketball program they became the faces of — Hughes in 2010 and McKinney in 2017 — but both didn't need much prodding to come full circle.
That happened last week when the former point guards for two of Keitha Adams' best teams agreed to come back to their "second home" as assistants for Adams and her right hand Ewa Laskowska, a decision both said was as easy as these life moves come.
Both are coaching lifers, for McKinney it's the family business, and for both, UTEP is where they've always wanted to be.
