'I feel like he is part of this': Babe Laufenberg supports UTEP in honor of late son Luke

In a better, fairer world, Babe Laufenberg would have been watching his son Luke on Tuesday at Glory Field practicing with the UTEP football team, preparing for Saturday's New Mexico Bowl against Fresno State.

Instead, the Dallas Cowboys radio color commentator and former quarterback was in El Paso to introduce the Luke Laufenberg Fight nutrition center to the Miners and share with them some thoughts about his late son, who died on Aug. 22 after a battle with leukemia.

Luke was the Miners' starting tight end in 2019 spring workouts before his leukemia returned.
