Quarterback Edge: Even
This is more like an "incomplete" grade. NMSU freshman Josh Adkins did encouraging things last week, but it was his first extended playing time, and this is his first start. UTEP's Kai Locksley has been good with his feet; now he needs to make plays with his arm.
Offensive line Edge: NMSU
The Aggies start five upperclassmen; the entire left side of UTEP's line is freshmen. The Miners do get a lift this week with the return of Jerrod Brooks.
