Freshman runner Victor Kibiego has made a quick impact on the UTEP cross country team, most recently placing second in the Conference USA championships Saturday in Denton.
In the process he and his team earned their shot at the regional meet Nov. 11 in Albuquerque.
Kibiego comes from the world distance running capital of Eldoret, Kenya, in the Rift Valley, where three of his teammates and his coach Paul Ereng are from.
How did you feel about the runner-up finish at the C-USA meet?
The conference meet was very fun. We did our best as a team.
