Do-it-all forward Williams ready for star turn at UTEP

UTEP's Bryson Williams ready to go after year off Bret Bloomquist, El Paso Times

Last season was the strangest of years for the UTEP basketball team, one of so much frustration and so much hope.

The frustration was the 8-21 record under first-year coach Rodney Terry, the worst season for a UTEP basketball team since 2002-03, when a coach who went on to big things, Billy Gillespie, was in his first year.

The hope was over in the Foster-Stevens Center where the "best practice team in America," led by a potentially program-changing 6-foot-8 power forward in Bryson Williams, was sitting out a transfer year.
