Dimel won't name starting quarterback for NMSU

Dana Dimel discusses New Mexico State Bret Bloomquist, Wochit

UTEP football coach Dana Dimel spent a good portion of Monday's press conference to kick off New Mexico State week lavishing praise on the play of quarterback Gavin Hardison in the loss to UAB.

But he also understands that he doesn't have to show any cards yet, and to that end he indicated New Mexico State will learn who the Miners' starter is when the UTEP offense comes out for the first play on Saturday.

"We're going to rep both of them," Dimel said, referring to practice this week.
