Winning has always come hard for the UTEP football program, but as the Miners get ready to travel to UAB as a three-score underdog, coach Dana Dimel said he feels his team is getting close to a breakthrough that could turn the program.
They lost in the closest game of this eight-game losing streak 28-21 to Charlotte last Saturday, and though UAB (University of Alabama-Birmingham) comes into this week's game with a 6-3 mark, Dimel senses his team is on the cusp of something special.
