Given how desperately in need of talent the UTEP receiving corps was back in August, there was a feeling that Devaughn Cooper didn't so much as drive in from Arizona on a graduate transfer as he flew in on a white, winged horse.
Arizona's leader in yards per catch last year and the breakout star of their spring game, the natural assumption was that Cooper would step right into a Miner squad desperately looking for gamebreakers at wideout and dominate from his first day.
